NK halve fond profs werd verreden samen met de Zwitserse renners in Zürich. Horst Schütz , tweede achter Savary (en voor Peffgen) won de titel voor Duitsland. Hij werd evenwel gediskwalificeerd wegens de positieve uitslag van zijn doping kontrole
